Don't press the back button yet!

        I know, I know, the advent of Facebook has made so many of us discomfortingly narcissistic, so naturally, I should not be making a whole website dedicated to myself for fear of falling into the "I'm a very important person" trap; but hopefully this does not become a means to glorifying myself. It should be assumed that people don't really want to know about me, but that they'd rather just share in a common interest and, hopefully, have me add something beneficial to their life. That is the aim of this site. It's come to the point where there are just too many of my blogs floating around, and I'd rather have sort of a "Renaissance Site" that can cover everything. Since all of the topics covered on these pages have some sort of thing in common, maybe somebody else will have a the same sort of cohesiveness among their interests. I don't subscribe to the notion that each facet of science and art should be isolated from all "else" of reality. Many things are connected, and each subject can enrich and enlighten the individual in a wide range of pursuits.
        This is the first attempt at a site that is free from self-worship and also full of things that people might care about.
        If someone happens to stumble into here, feel free to inform me of improvements that can be made.
